By accessing or using Halaly, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Halaly
Halaly is a restaurant discovery platform that helps users find halal food and view restaurant information, community feedback and AI-assisted suggestions. Halaly is not a halal certification body and does not independently guarantee that any restaurant, dish, ingredient or preparation method is halal.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into these terms and meet any minimum age required in your country. You are responsible for the accuracy of information connected to your account and for activity carried out through it. Keep your credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Restaurant and halal information
Restaurant details may come from restaurants, public sources, third-party providers, community members and Halaly moderation. Information can change without notice and may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. You should contact the restaurant directly if halal status, certification, ingredients, cross-contamination, preparation methods or dietary requirements are important to your decision.
4. Community contributions
You may be able to submit votes, corrections, reviews, reports, images or other content. You must provide information honestly and in good faith. You must not submit unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, infringing, fraudulent, promotional or irrelevant content. We may review, edit, restrict or remove content and suspend contribution features where necessary.
5. Licence to user content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Halaly a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, moderate, improve and promote the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, safety, backup or integrity purposes.
6. Ask Halaly and automated outputs
AI-generated responses are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable. They do not constitute halal certification or professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and verifying important information with the restaurant or another appropriate source.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, scrape or copy data at scale, bypass security or access controls, reverse engineer restricted components, upload malicious code, impersonate others, manipulate community voting, create abusive accounts, or use Halaly for unlawful purposes.
8. Third-party services and links
Halaly may display maps, directions, restaurant listings, websites, social media links and other content supplied by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, availability, transactions or conduct.
9. Intellectual property
The Halaly name, branding, software, design and original content are owned by or licensed to Halaly and protected by applicable law. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may use the service only for personal, lawful purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.
10. Availability and changes
We may update, add, remove, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, complete geographic coverage or continued availability of any restaurant record or feature.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, created risk, abused the service or where action is required by law. You may stop using Halaly at any time and may request account deletion using available in-app tools or by contacting us.
12. Disclaimers
Halaly is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties relating to accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halaly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or opportunity, or loss arising from reliance on restaurant, halal or AI-generated information. Our total liability for claims connected with the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months or £100, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
14. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to compensate Halaly for reasonable losses and costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the service, your content or your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that allow you to bring a claim elsewhere.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will publish the revised terms and update the effective date. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
